There’s a charming, homey feel at this legendary restaurant that keeps diners returning for decades and decades. Things are done simply at “Sab’s,” from the basic house-made pasta dishes to the monstrous brasciloe, beef filled with veal, prosciutto, egg, and cheese, then topped with marinara.
The experienced wait staff here has seen it all (there’s a brisk post-bar-closing weekend business here during the busy season, since it’s one of the few places to serve late dinner), so they’re happy to deal with pleasant inquiries and give recommendations. They can also handle anything from a couple to a large group with just a little advance notice.
