While more and more restaurants offer some vegetarian options, this is basically the only option in town for a completely meat-free dining experience (though the food here is enjoyed even by non-vegetarians, particularly the “I Can’t Believe There’s Not Pork in Here” Queen Greens). Run by the wonderful Chef Mama Skai Davis, this isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a warm, welcoming place for people to hang out, read about cultural and activist causes, and interact over some great food.
Bright colors and homemade signs (“Eat More Kale”) create an oasis effect here, encouraging folks to linger and try some more food. Everything at The Yabba Pot is vegetarian; many items are vegan, as well.
