HOURS: Hours vary; most bars open at 5 p.m.
It’s best to consider Power Plant Live! as a single entity, rather than trying to separate it into its many various food-and-alcohol-serving parts. This is a planned, managed congregation of eateries and bars, with a large center plaza area that hosts bands, DJs, and warm-weather crowds.
There are restaurants here (like Babalu Grill, Mondo Bondo, MEX, and a Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse), along with large bars (Angels Rocks Bar, Luckie’s Tavern), and even a dueling-pianos establishment (Howl at the Moon).
It’s a reasonable option for an early dinner, but as the night goes on, the crowd gets younger and younger, and the music volumes and social high jinks increase.
