Yesterday, the National Park Service [2] announced three weekends this summer where visitors and residents can explore their local National Parks, fee-free. The weekends are: June 20-21, July 18-19, and August 15-16.
Of the 391 National Parks in the US, 147 charge entrance fees ranging from $3 - $25, and these fee-free weekends offer a budget-friendly way to get out and vacation with your friends and family, and help local businesses thrive at the same time.
With plenty of content covering National Parks, Moon.com is a great place to start researching your next trip to fee-free parks like, Yosemite [3], Glacier National Park [4], Zion National Park [5], or Big Bend [6].
For a full list of participating parks, you can visit the National Park Service website [7].
Here’s to some great fee-free weekends this summer!
