Not willing to settle for having one of Denver [2]’s best French restaurants, if not the best, Patrick DuPays opened À Côté, a Parisian wine bar, two doors down from Z Cuisine. Just like the restaurant, the bar was an instant success. Both places have the feel of a true bistro—small, warm, personable, simple, and fresh—and feature art and fixtures made by local artisans (don’t miss the chandeliers by Tracey Barnes).

The bar also offers a scaled-down menu of the French fare found at Z. Things get a little wild on Thursday nights when there is a DJ.
