Next door to the Opera House [1] is the once spectacular Teller House. Originally a hotel, the Teller House has sadly lost much of its historical integrity over the years as it was temporarily turned into a casino. The building hails from 1872, and the famous “face on the barroom floor” was not painted until 1932.
The mysterious woman’s visage remains and is seen on tours during opera season. There is a restaurant in the building during opera season only.
