The 500-acre Shambhala Mountain Center [1] is mostly wilderness with 12 miles of hiking trails, a local garden, and access to the activities at nearby Red Feather Lakes. The center offers a number of programs, mostly in the summer, for children and those interested in yoga, meditation, Buddhism, and more.
Wander the Shambhala Botanic Gardens & Preserve that includes a vegetable and flower garden, a Zen garden, and a bird sanctuary.
The center is adjacent to the Red Feather Lakes, Roosevelt National Forest, and the La Poudre River, where white-water river rafting, horseback riding, and fly-fishing are all available for experts or beginners.
