A long-standing island favorite, The Fish Trap (Raintree Court, 340/693-9994, www.thefishtrap.com [1], 4:30–9:30 p.m. Tues.–Sun., $10–44) serves pasta, steaks, and burgers, but seafood is the reason to come. Chef Aaron Willis is known for his consistency and enthusiasm. Frequent visitors swear by the conch fritters and fresh fish; also try the shrimp, scallops, and hand-cut steaks. If you prefer to do the cooking yourself, you can buy fresh seafood here, too.
