Coconut Point Vacation Apartments (284/495-4892, $195 winter, $120 summer) is a small complex of five well-equipped villas located in Carrot Bay [1], a seaside community of farmers and fishers. Coconut Point’s one- and two-bedroom apartments feature full kitchens, cable TV, phones, private balconies, outdoor grills, and air-conditioning. A small wading pool will keep you cool in a pinch, but if you want a beach you will have to walk about 15 minutes to Apple Bay [2].
Sebastian’s on the Beach (Apple Bay, 284/495-4003, U.S. toll-free 800/336-4870, fax 284/495-4466, www.sebastiansvillas.com [3], $180–325 winter, $100–190 summer) is a 26-room hotel facing picturesque Apple Bay, a favorite for surfers. In addition to beachfront and garden rooms, Sebastian’s has several new luxury villas at the west end of the beach. Sebastian’s is set amid the welcoming community of Apple Bay. Its location on the beach makes up for somewhat careless customer service.
