With plenty of equipment available for rent, good guides for hire, and a number of excellent snorkel and dive sites, Jost Van Dyke [1] is a great place for the water sports enthusiast. There is good snorkeling at White Bay [2], but the best reefs are found at Diamond Cay [3] and the surrounding out islands of Sandy Cay [4], Sandy Spit [5], and Little Jost Van Dyke [6].
The best nearby dive sites are the Playground, between Green Cay and Little Jost, and Twin Towers, a challenging site north of Little Jost [1]. Watson’s Rock, Tobago Canyons, and Mercurius Rock are dive sites near Great Tobago, a small island bird sanctuary of the western tip of Jost.
Exploring underwater can be as simple as donning a snorkel and going for a look around or as involved as spending a day diving unmarked dive sites with a guide.
