Just west of Long Bay [1] and connected via the dune trails is a tiny gem of a swimming hole, nestled between cliffs and boasting swimming-pool-clear water. Honeymooners and children make a beeline for Jobson’s Cove beach, though, so you may find it busy later in the day, especially when cruise ships are in port.
A horseshoe of tall limestone cliffs creates this perfect swimming hole, no more than 40 feet across. Shallow water near the sand, plus reefs encircling the foot of the cliffs, makes it good for novice or young swimmers, and for snorkelers, too.
Access Jobson’s Cove via the lane down to Warwick Long Bay (park at the bottom and walk a few hundreds meters in along the west trail), or go a little farther west on the main road and drive down the lane opposite Warwick Camp [2]. You will see signs for both Jobson’s and Chaplin Bays [3], and sandy dune trails lead to both. It’s a short walk down from the main road bus stop.
