Like Warwick [1], Southampton [2] is hardly a shoppers’ mecca, offering only hotel-lobby boutiques and the occasional souvenir outlet. Label-conscious travelers will appreciate Longchamp and Rolex at the Fairmont Southampton Resort (101 South Shore Rd., tel. 441/238-8000), home to a microcosm of Front Street’s top-end retailers. The Reefs Resort also sells Bermuda-inspired gifts at a small boutique on its property.
The Lighthouse Gift Shop (68 St. Anne’s Rd., 9 a.m.–5 p.m. daily except Christmas) is good for postcards, disposable cameras, and the tackiest of Bermuda memorabilia. Steer clear, unless you really can’t leave the island without a clay ferry, baseball cap, or pirate flag.
