A dock at the ominously named Shark Hole (there’s virtually no risk of the toothy reality) allows easy access to swim or snorkel in the emerald waters of this corner of the Sound. Encircled by cliffs and bypassed by a hairpin section of Harrington Sound Road, the inviting grotto is also the site of a cave that extends beneath the main road. If you venture inside, you can hear the passing traffic above.
