Like Camden [1], Newberry [2] is big on antiques. The main drag for antiquing in Newberry is, fittingly, Main Street, where you’ll find the densely appointed Newberry Antiques Mall (1530 Main St., 803/321-5800) and the excellent As Time Goes By (1300 Main St., 803/276-4715).
You’ll also find Eurolux Antiques (1409 Main St., 803/276-4001), which focuses on Continental pieces, Shop Around the Corner (1510 Main St., 803/321-0596), which also has thrift items, and Nichols Studio (1311 Main St., 803/321-0080), which deals in vintage photos.
Also on Main Street is a good little bookstore, S&J Books (1504 Main St., 803/276-4005).
