Campo Grande [1] is a great place to purchase indigenous art and handicrafts. Aside from the Memorial da Cultura Indígena, the Casa de Artesão (Av. Calogeras 2050, tel. 67/3383-2633, 8 a.m.–6 p.m. Mon.–Fri., 8 a.m.–noon Sat.) possesses an impressive array of works by local groups with some enticing seed jewelry as well as ceramics, wood carvings, and weavings, all for reasonable prices.
Another option for souvenirs (from homemade doces to cowboy hats) is the lively Mercado Municipal (Rua 15 de Novembro, 6:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. Mon.–Sat., 6:30 a.m.–noon Sun.).
Across from the market, the Feira Indígena (Praça Oshiro Takemori, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Tues.–Sun.) is where Terena Indians sell local produce along with some handmade artifacts.
