The Museo del Textil (central plaza, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. and 5–9 p.m. Mon.–Fri., US$0.50) is a small museum in the heart of Palenque [1] town showcasing the variety of traditional dress found throughout Chiapas [2]. Each outfit is displayed on a mannequin with signage explaining a bit about its background—the material used, the time it took to create, the town or region where it’s worn, the language spoken, and some population stats. Signage is in Spanish only.
