Opposite Jamming [1], Le Bistro (3–10 p.m. daily, also open for lunch during high season) is a Thai-Vietnamese restaurant with dishes you won’t find anywhere else in Honduras [2], such as blau blau, Vietnamese hotpot, as well as plenty of more familiar dishes such as spring rolls and pad thai. The restaurant is on a second-story wood deck, and rather atmospheric, although the thumping music from Jamming tends to drown out the crooning French music in the background. Appetizers are US$2–6, and most mains are in the range of US$8–16.

Tong’s Thai Cuisine (5:30–9:30 p.m. daily, plus open for lunch Fri.–Sun.) is a relatively new restaurant set out over the water, wildly popular for its excellent Thai food. The curries and basil chicken are authentically spicy, while those looking for something milder will be happy with the fried rice. Entrées run US$12–18. The staffing has yet to catch up with the restaurant’s popularity, so if the restaurant is busy you can expect your food to take a good long while (or consider coming when the crowds are gone).
