Do you like loud music while you eat, waitresses who kiss and hug their customers, and a bit of attitude with your chiles rellenos? I would have said no to all of the above until I had lunch at the tiny Little Cafe Poca Cosa on Stone Avenue right in the heart of downtown.
The food is so spectacular that I’d be willing to put up with just about anything to get the simple Mexican and Latin American fare at this beloved lunch spot. The food is unassailable, and the hugs and even the cheek-kisses are alright with a belly full of goodness.
Make sure to tip big; a large percentage of everything made in this place goes to various causes. They only take cash, no exceptions. Again, I assure you: The food is worth the various idiosyncrasies.
