In the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains [1] north of midtown you’ll find high-end, high-concept eateries that define the cutting edge of Tucson [2]’s culinary scene. Nearly all of the upscale restaurants in this neighborhood offer patio dining with gorgeous views of the valley and the mountains.
While still casual at heart, the scene in the foothills requires a bit more dressing up than it does elsewhere in the Old Pueblo [2]. You can still wear jeans, but maybe replace those flip-flops with a pair of loafers.
