The Screening Room
127 E. Congress St., Tucson
520/882-0204
For 10 days beginning in mid-April, filmmakers and film lovers from around the world come to Tucson [1] to watch and celebrate independent cinema. This popular local film festival is approaching its third decade, and the most recent event premiered movies from Bolivia, Japan, Germany, South Africa, and even the good old U.S.A.
The best films screened at the Arizona International Film Festival, which takes place at downtown’s tiny Screening Room and sometimes at other venues around town, are the entrants in the annual Reel Frontier Film and Video Contest.
