The grand dame of Tucson [2]’s “golden month,” the Gem Show brings visitors from all over the globe to the desert for one of the most popular and prestigious events of its kind.
If you’re into gems, minerals, fossils, and rocks, you probably know about it already. If your interest is more casual, however, the most affordable and easiest way to join in is to go to the huge Main Show at the Tucson Convention Center on the second full weekend of February, where you’ll likely be astounded by the otherworldly colors and patterns in all those mysterious rocks.
