There are several chain hotels in Nogales, Arizona [2], along Mariposa Road and along Grand Avenue, both major thoroughfares. The Velvet Elvis Pizza Co. (292 Naugle Ave., Patagonia, 520/349-2102, Thurs.–Sun. 11:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m.) serves delicious gourmet pizza and has interesting pictures of the King and the Virgin.
The Steak Out Restaurant & Saloon (3243 Hwy. 83, Sonoita, 520/455-5205, www.azsteakout.com [4], Mon.–Thurs. 5–9 p.m., Fri. 5–10 p.m., Sat.–Sun. 11 a.m.–10 p.m.) is hard to miss since it is the biggest building in town. They serve delicious steaks and ribs.
