Frequently overshadowed by Scottsdale’s trendy clubs [1], Phoenix [2]’s nightlife takes a bit more work to find. As a resident, though, I prefer to meet up with friends at one of Phoenix’s hip but low-key bars and lounges.

If you’re in town at the beginning of each month, you may want to consider joining art-lovers and hipsters at the First Fridays artwalk in downtown’s Roosevelt Historic District.
