Phoenix [1] is home to countless Mexican restaurants, but it was only recently blessed with an authentic, fine Spanish eatery in Lola Tapas (800 E. Camelback Rd., 602/265-4519, 5–10 p.m. Tues.–Sat., $4–14). Specializing in cuisine from the Andalucia region in the south of Spain, Lola’s serves terrific sangria, along with small plates of mouthwatering dishes such as serrano ham with manchego cheese and marcona almonds, spicy chickpeas and spinach, and daily specials. The wine list boasts vino blanco like Albariño and Spanish reds, as well as a choice of sherries—olé!
