The laidback Secret Garden Café at Tlaquepaque (336 Hwy. 179, 928/203-9564, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. daily, $8–15) is a pleasant place to enjoy breakfast, especially outside by the charming fountain. Order a cup of the Kona coffee and try the fluffy French toast dipped in Grand Marnier or the filling breakfast burrito. In the afternoon, the café serves salads, sandwiches, hearty quiches, and burgers. And if you were thinking about indulging in a red-rock picnic, you can get your order to go at the counter.
Finding an inexpensive lunch in Uptown can be a challenge. Fortunately, the sandwiches and salads at Sedona Memories (321 Jordan Rd., 928/282-0032, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Mon.–Fri., $4–7) are cheap and delicious. Expect generous portions and fresh ingredients at this cash-only, mom-and-pop shop. There are a few tables outside, though you may want to call ahead to order a picnic to go.
