Despite the presence of a couple of kid-friendly rides—Donald’s Boat is a water-squirting fun house, and The Barnstormer is a Goofy-themed rollercoaster—the main reason most folks make their way to Mickey’s Toontown Fair is to line up for a walk through Mickey’s Country House, because it’s where the emblematic mouse “lives.”
Visitors get to see his bedroom and wardrobe full of identical tuxedoes, his outdoor workshop and garden (complete with doghouse for Pluto), and even his messy kitchen. But most importantly, at the end of the tour through the house, you get to see Mickey and even get an autograph. Predictably, lines are very long here, but getting to peek inside the private life of a 6-foot-tall mouse who’s a movie star is well worth it.
Next door is Minnie’s Country House (because, of course, these two aren’t married), which is decked out in plenty of pink and frills. The setup is essentially the same as at Mickey’s house, only with no regularly scheduled character meet-and-greet (although Minnie sometimes shows up in her backyard).
