South of Forest Grove [1] on Route 47, Gaston is home to Elk Cove Vineyard (27751 NW Olson Rd., 503/985-7760), one of the oldest and most respected operations in the area. Elk Cove’s tasting room is especially lovely, and year-in and year-out their pinot gris is one of the region’s best.
