Although most Thai restaurants on the coast are merely serviceable, Newport [1]’s tiny Bangkok Thai (855 SW Bay Blvd., 541/574-9829, 11 a.m.–9 p.m. daily, $9–17) is a real treat. The food tastes fresh, and the restaurant makes good use of seafood.
