Cedar Bend Golf Course (P.O. Box 1234, Gold Beach 97444, 541/247-6911, greens fees $25 for 9 holes, $30 for 18 holes) is located in nearby Ophir. Eleven miles north of Gold Beach [1], pick up Ophir Road off U.S. 101. Follow it to Squaw Valley Road, turn right at the Old Ophir Store, and continue until you see the links. Woods line the fairways, and a winding creek offers a challenge on each of the nine holes.
