Chateaulin (150 E. Main St., 541/482-2264, www.chateaulin.com [1], 5:30–9 p.m. Mon., 5–9 p.m. Tues., 11 a.m.–2 p.m. and 5:30–9 p.m. Wed.–Sat., 5–9 p.m. Sun., $22–32) actually looks Parisian, with its dark wooden interior and lighted stained glass behind the bar. Traditional and modern French cuisine is offered from a weekly-changing menu. The three-course prix-fixe dinner ($30) is an excellent value. Chateaulin’s adjoining gourmet food and wine shop also offers custom picnic lunch baskets (order 24 hours in advance). If you go after a play for one of the 25 specialty coffee drinks, be careful what you say about the performance—Hamlet or Falstaff may show up wearing blue jeans.
