A pricey but well-attended fundraiser, Jazzoo is an annual benefit for the Kansas City Zoo [2] held on the first Friday in June. Guests are encouraged to wear animal-themed attire as part of the creative black-tie dress code.

More than 80 restaurants set up booths throughout the zoo offering a taste of their signature entrées, appetizers, and cocktails.

Jazzoo culminates with a concert featuring a national headliner and opening act.

Proceeds benefit the zoo’s children’s educational programs and are also used to purchase feed for more than 1,000 animals.
