Seward [1] has plenty of indoor lodging options, but be sure to book ahead in the summer, especially any weekend in August when the Silver Salmon Derby [2] attracts throngs of visitors and fills every room for miles around. The city of Seward hits travelers with a 10 percent lodging tax.
