Music legends like Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Buddy Guy have taken the stage at this historic music hall. The Double Door Inn first opened its doors in 1973 and is regarded as the oldest live-music venue east of the Mississippi. It’s also the oldest blues club in the country that is still under its original ownership.
Signed photos of the musicians who’ve played here are plastered on the walls as a testament to the venue’s history. It’s a popular venue for local acts and also attracts musicians on national tours. The music ranges from Afrobeat to Zydeco, but the club is best known as a blues venue.
