When Rick Hendrick opened his race shop in 1984, he had an unsponsored car and just 5,000 square feet of space. Today, Hendrick Motorsports is one of the biggest race shops around and the home of NASCAR greats Dale Earnhardt Jr. (#8), Jeff Gordon (#24), Mark Martin (#5), and Jimmie Johnson (#48). The team has brought home nine championships and more than 100 NEXTEL Cup victories.

The shop is as impressive as its driver roster. The car that Jeff Gordon drove across the finish line at the Daytona 500, the Chevy Lumina from Days of Thunder, and Rick Hendrick’s first Chevrolet are all on display.

The shop is divided into several “driver zones” that highlight the careers of the NASCAR drivers on the Hendrick team with stock cars, trophies, photos, and video clips.
