EUE Screen Gems Studios is one of the reasons Wilmington [2] is often called Hollywood East. The 50-acre lot is the largest TV and movie production facility outside of California.
More than 350 television and movie productions have been shot on-site, including The Secret Lives of Bees, Nights in Radanthe, Muppets from Space, Domestic Disturbance, and Weekend at Bernie’s. The studio is perhaps best known for its production of One Tree Hill and Dawson’s Creek, the teen coming-of-age dramas that aired on the CW network.
Walking tours of the studio includes visits to the set of One Tree Hill, which is still in production; movie sets under construction; and the screening room. There are also lots of stops to see props and old movie sets.
No reservations are required for tours.
