The bright and cheery Children’s Museum of Manhattan (212 W. 83rd St., between Broadway and Amsterdam Ave., 212/721-1223, www.cmom.org [1], 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Wed.–Sun., also Tues. in summer, admission $10, free to children up to age one) is full of hands-on exhibits for kids ages 2–10.
Here, children can draw and paint, learn crafts, drive a FDNY fire truck, listen to stories, or just explore one of the always-changing play areas.
