Riverside Drive abuts Riverside Park, a long and narrow sloping slice of green that stretches from 72nd to 153rd Street along the Hudson River. Designed in the 1870s by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, the park is a pleasant place with glorious views of the Hudson.
Near the park’s south end is the 79th Street Boat Basin, where houseboats dock.
