Upstate Films (6415 Montgomery St./Rte. 9, 845/876-2515), is a revival movie theater screening foreign, independent, and documentary films, along with the classics. The Center for the Performing Arts at Rhinebeck (661 Rte. 308/E. Market St., 845/876-3080) offers theater, children’s shows, concerts, jazz under the stars, and other events.
Rhinebeck [1]’s Dutchess County Fairgrounds (Rte. 9 north of the village, 845/876-4001, www.dutchessfair.com [2]) hosts a number of events throughout the year. Among them are an Antiques Fair in May, crafts fairs in June and October, and the six-day Dutchess County Fair in July or August. The latter is the largest county fair in the state, second in size only to the New York State Fair held in Syracuse [3].
