Though now primarily a casual restaurant, P&G’s (91 Main St., 845/255-6161) began as a dancehall in the 1900s and still presents live local bands on the weekends.
The Ulster County Fair is held on the Ulster County Fairgrounds (Libertyville Rd., off Rte. 299, 845/255-1380, www.ulstercountyfair.com [2]) in early August. The fairgrounds also host the Woodstock-New Paltz Arts & Crafts Fairs (www.quailhollow.com [3]) on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. Call 845/340-3566 for more information.
