The northwestern section of the Adirondacks [1] is a sparsely populated area often overlooked by vacationers. Much of the land here is quite flat and covered with hundreds of lakes and ponds, along with endless unbroken forest. Though the region is primarily a canoer’s paradise, it also has much to offer in the way of easy-to-moderate hikes.
